PURPOSE: To attain magnification in the seal mode by providing a magnification means controlling the clock of picture data readout in response to the designated magnification to vary the print magnification.
CONSTITUTION: The machine is provided with a registration picture memory circuit 1, a picture tone setting circuit 2 and a magnification subscanning clock generator 29. When a picture data is read from a picture storage means in the registration picture memory circuit 1 or the picture data is read from the picture storage means, the magnification subscanning clock generator 29 varies the magnification of the read or write clock in response to the magnification to apply the magnification. Thus, even when the size of write or read area on the original differs from the desired size of a seal or the like (print picture), the difference is absorbed by the magnification and the system is applied to lots of needs.
