To provide a dispersant for toner, which uniformly and finely disperses wax in a toner, and to provide a resin composition for toner, and a method for producing a resin composition for toner, using the dispersant.
The dispersant for toner is used for dispersing a wax for toner in a medium, and the dispersant comprises a terminal branched copolymer expressed by general formula (1) and having a number average molecular weight of not more than 2.5×104. In formula (1), A represents a polyolefin chain; R1 and R2 each represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, and at least one of them is a hydrogen atom; and X1 and X2 are identical or different from each other, each representing a straight-chain or branched polyalkyleneglycol group.
