PURPOSE: To obtain many displays on the limited screen, by moving the memory content on the display screen in a speed in which man can read it, through the addition of the buffer memory tentatively storing the full information to be displayed to the display unit.

CONSTITUTION: The display is constituted with the buffer memory 11, refresh memory 12, selectors 30 and 33 and 38, read register 31, character generator 35, write counter 36, and read counter 37. With this constitution, external input is stored to the memory 11 via the selector 30, and another input of the selector 30 is connected to the output of the memory 11 and repetitive observation is possible with ring shaped connection. Next, the data stored in the memory 11 is transferred to the memory 12 and this is fed to the character generator 35. On the other hand, the output of the counter 36 is delivered to the memory 12 via the selector 38 and the output of the counter 37 is fed to the generator 35, moving the character pattern appeared on the display panel from right to left.
