To easily engage the loop of a mechanical fastener with a hook by attaching a female member to the outer surface of a back surface sheet through a sheet member extendible and contractible in the waist direction of a diaper and repeating a raised shape in the waist direction.
The male member of the mechanical fastener is attached to the inner surface of a tab extended from the respective left and right side edge parts of the rear waist area of this disposable diaper and the female member 23 of the mechanical fastener is attached to the outer surface of the back surface sheet 3 at the respective left and right side edge parts of a front waist area. The female member 23 is fixed to a supporting sheet 27 through a first hot melt adhesive application line 26 and the supporting sheet 27 is fixed to the back surface sheet 3 through a second hot melt adhesive application line 28. The back surface sheet 3 and the female member 23 are provided with the raised shape for which fixed parts with the supporting sheet 27 are turned to a dent or a peak and a part between the adjacent fixed parts is turned to the peak or the dent, the raised shape is repeated in the horizontal direction of the diaper and the peaks and the dents are extended in the vertical direction of the diaper.
