PURPOSE: To provide a document carrier device capable of smoothly delivering a document without causing nonconformity of wrinkle, document jam, overlapped delivery and others on the side of a separation part.

CONSTITUTION: In the upstream of a separation part 5, an auxiliary carrier means 15a consisting of a pick-up roller 16, a pressure plate 17 and a pressure force adjustment means 18a is provided, and by oscillating a regulation plate 27 of the pressure force adjustment means 18a by a face screw 38 of a working part in correspondence with the contents of a copy bundle 3, changing spring force of a spring 28 and changing pressure force of the pressure plate 17, carrier force of the pick-up roller 16 is adjusted. Additionally, by arranging this device on the side of the lower surface of the face screw 38 and an upper guide 1, its operation can be simplified.
