To provide a door knob type power generator having a simple structure, which allows for efficient power generation through the operation of a door knob.
When a grip part 11 is operated, the tilt of a cylinder part 21 arranged therein varies with the rotation of the grip part 11. A magnet part 22 dwelling at one end of the cylinder part 21 is then moved toward another end, allowing for power generation due to electromagnetic induction caused between the magnetic part 22 and a coil part 23. In addition, a signal transmission part 44 can transmit information showing that the grip part is operated (a door body is opened or closed) to an external signal reception part which is not illustrated, using the electric power generated by the electromagnetic induction.
