To provide a door lock device for easily checking a state of engagement between a locking hook and an engaging part.

The door lock device comprises a tongue 4 which is provided with the locking hook 2 on a door side and the engaging part 3 engaged with the locking hook 2. The tongue 4 may be operated to move back and forth by using both of a cylinder lock 5 for a user and a cylinder lock 6 for a manager. A stroke of the tongue 4 in its projecting direction caused by the cylinder lock 6 for the manager is formed to be larger than that of the cylinder lock 5 for the user. A detecting passage 7 is arranged at an extended part of the stroke by which the tongue 4 is allowed to pass only when the engaging part 3 is within a range engageable with the locking hook 2.
