Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door lock unit which is excellent in durability, and low in manufacturing cost.
SOLUTION: When the door lock unit assumes a locking state, a key block 41 connecting a handle 82 to a latch 17 is released sideways with respect to its direct-acting direction, and interlocking between the handle 82 and the latch 17 is disconnected. Thus, the handle 82 slips off under the locking state, and therefore, unlike a conventional door lock unit, an operating force of the handle is prevented from being applied to component members forming the door lock unit, which leads to improved durability of the door lock unit, to thereby form the door lock unit of the component members made of a material with lower strength at a lower cost. Further, the door lock unit can be miniaturized compared with the conventional door lock unit if it is formed of a material with the same strength as that of the conventional one.
