PURPOSE: To reliably set a lock, and to automatically return a handle after release by separating an outside handle and a finger via a push piece by a manipulator arranged on an inside handle.

CONSTITUTION: In an inside handle 12, an outside tubular spindle 48 is fastened to a stationary boss 26 by a key, and a manipulator 130 for an inside push piece 110 for restraining rotation more than that is arranged. This push piece 100 drives an inside finger 70 of an outside handle 14 outward in the lengthwise direction. Next, the outside end of the finger 70 is arranged in an outside peripheral space of the spindle 48, and even if the outside handle 14 is rotated, since the finger 70 and the mount are separated from the spindle 48, a handle 14 is freely rotated. The outside handle 14 is returned to a former position by a spring means in a rose 18 at release time.
