To prevent stumbling on a stopper by mounting a stopper for temporarily fix a door in an opened state on a wall at the same level with a door handle so that when the door is opened, the door handle is releasably engaged with the stopper.
A stopper 1, in which a recess is formed so as to be oriented downward, is mounted on a wall surface 5 on the opening side of a door 4 at the same level with a door handle 3 so that by turning the door 4, a holding part of the door handle 3 having an L-shape is engaged in the recess of the stopper 1. And hence a stopper is not needed on the floor. To close the door 4, the handle 3 is turned downward against the force of a spring to disengage the handle from the stopper 1, allowing one to disengage the handle easily in its upright posture. Thus a danger in a daily life such as stumbling can be eliminated and the number of components can be reduced.
