Abstract:
To provide a double gauze fabric which has improved quality and feeling by incorporating excellent characteristics of rayon into a gauze fabric and in which shrinkage, that is a weak point of gauze fabric and rayon, is suppressed and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The Dobby weave double gauze fabric comprises a front woven texture 2 forming a front side of a woven fabric, a back woven texture 3 forming a back side and a joining part 4 for joining both of the woven textures 2, 3. The front woven texture 2 is produced by weaving warp 21 comprising a compact silo yarn of rayon derived from a bamboo raw material and weft 22 comprising a non-twisted yarn of a cotton yarn. The back woven texture 3 is produced by weaving warp 31 comprising a compact silo yarn of rayon derived from a bamboo raw material and weft 32 comprising a compact silo yarn of a cotton yarn. The joining part 4 is produced by weaving a part of weft 22 of the front woven texture 2 into a part of warp 31 of the back woven texture 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
