Abstract:
The invention relates to a drying equipment comprising a battery of radiant burners, a suction hood (2), and a blowing hood (3) that is intended to dry a material as it travels past, especially paper, and is equipped with a fire-prevention system integrated into its hooding.
This prevention system consists of a spraying boom (7) emitting a stream of steam and then a mixture of steam and water in order to lower the temperature of the latter.
