The hand-held drive-in tool for driving the fastening element 60 is provided with a driving plunger 13 for driving by at least one driving spring element, a bias imparting device 70 for the driving spring element and the driving plunger 13, a locking device 50 capable of locking the driving plunger 13 and the driving spring element 31 on a checking position 54 of the locking device 50 being a bias position 33, and an operation switch 19 capable of transferring the locking device 50 to a releasing position 55. At least one other switch means is arranged for the locking device 50. The locking device 50 can independently transferred to the releasing position 55 from the operation switch 19.
