Abstract:
To provide a driving device for an electric actuator employing a ball screw capable of effectively reducing the possibility of occurrence of a serious defect such that a screw shaft gets inoperable.SOLUTION: A driving device 60 is configured to drive an electric actuator. The electric actuator comprises: an electric motor 13; a screw shaft; a nut which is rotatably supported by an outer periphery of the screw shaft so as to rotate together with the electric motor 13; multiple balls being interposed between the screw shaft and the nut; and a housing which has an opening at one side in a direction of the screw shaft and the bottom at the other side in a shaft direction. The driving device 60 includes a power supply monitoring part 65 for monitoring for a stoppage of power supply from a power source 70 and a control part 64 which is configured to perform control so as to, when the power supply from the power source 70 stops, apply a short circuit brake on the electric motor 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
