Abstract:

To suppress heat generation of a driving device for a single-phase series-wound rectifier motor in braking without making the device large-sized for heat dissipation countermeasures.

When a braking current path extending from one end of an armature 4 to the other end of the armature 4 through a diode D1, an FET 16, a resistor R1 for current detection, and field magnetic coils 8, 6 in order by switching driving switches 12, 14 from contacts (a) to contacts (b), a control circuit 20 turns ON and OFF the FET 16 so that a braking current detected through the resistor R1 for current detection reaches a predetermined current. Consequently, a reflux path for supplying a reflux current to the field magnetic coils 8, 6 is formed while the FET 16 is OFF, but the reflux path is composed of only a diode D2 and a resistor for reflux current consumption is not provided. Consequently, heat generation by the resistor is eliminated to prevent a temperature rise caused during braking.
