To provide a driving force control device for a vehicle which can transmit the output torque of an engine to a generator with belt transmission, preventing the generation of unusual sounds by suppressing belt slip.
Front wheels 1L, 1R are driven by the engine 2 and rear wheels 3L, 3R are driven by a motor 4, and the motor 4 is driven by electric power generated by the generator 7. The generator 7 is driven by the output torque of the engine 2 transmitted with the belt transmission. When the front wheels 1L, 1R are subjected to acceleration slip, the generator 7 is controlled to have generation load torque corresponding to the acceleration slip. However, when target generation load torque may exceeds a transmission torque upper limit value, actual generation load torque is held down to suppress the belt slip.
