Abstract:
To provide a drum type dryer with high efficiency and high reliability even when drying heat-sensitive chemical fiber-based clothing.
The drum type dryer comprises a heat pump device configured to generate warm air to be fed into a rotary drum. The compressor of the heat pump device is driven by an inverter motor whose rotational frequency can be optionally changed. When drying heat-sensitive chemical fiber-based clothing, the rotational frequency 37 of the compressor is decreased to a predetermined rotational frequency (about 35 Hz) to generate warm air of a low temperature at or lower than about 45°C. The drum type dryer is high in drying efficiency and reliability, since it dries clothing by using the low-temperature warm air.
