Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly perform drainage of water to the outside of a water tub during a dewatering operation, and to improve dewatering performance.SOLUTION: A drum type washing machine includes: a water tub 1 provided inside a housing 2; a rotary tub 4 rotatably disposed inside the water tub 1; a motor 10 for rotationally driving the rotary tub 4; a concave-shaped drain part 15 provided at a bottom of the water tub 1; and a drain outlet 16 provided at the lowest part of the drain part 15. The drain part 15 has an extension part 19 extending from a side surface 15b on an advancing side of a dewatering rotation direction of the rotary tub 4 toward a side surface 15c on the opposite side of the dewatering rotation direction facing the side surface 15b on the advancing side, and the extension part 19 is formed in the front part of the drain part 15.
