Abstract:
To provide dehydrating and drying apparatus and method, shortening the drying time and making the apparatus in a compact manner.
This dehydrating and drying apparatus includes: a filter cloth 23 forming a filter chamber 22; a metallic member 25 disposed adjacent to the filter cloth 23 and movable to the filter cloth side; a filter frame 26 holding the metallic member 25; and fluid supply mechanisms 2, 8 for supplying high temperature fluid to a fluid chamber 30 formed by the metallic member 25 and the filter frame 26, wherein when the fluid chamber 30 is supplied with the fluid, the metallic member 25 presses the filter cloth 23 to water bearing material in the filter chamber 22.
