Abstract:

To set the ratio between resonant frequencies to vibrations in a first amplitude direction and a second amplitude direction substantially perpendicular to each other at an arbitrary value in a wide range, and suppress an increase in the number of parts and complexity in structure.

A dynamic damper 10 places a first elastic member 32 under compressive/tensile deformation and second elastic members 34 under shearing deformation when a vehicle body oscillates up and down (pitches), and places the first elastic member 32 and the second elastic members 34 under shearing deformation when the vehicle body oscillates about the longitudinal vehicle axis (rolls). Despite a small horizontal sectional area of the first elastic member 32, the connection of a mass member 30 to a pair of side plate portions 18 by the pair of second elastic members 34 can protect the first elastic member 32 against excessive flexural deformation even when the vehicle body oscillates about the longitudinal vehicle axis.
