Abstract:

To provide an easing method for approaching an easing roll position to the target position through the changeover between position control and tension control in one-cycle for the loom by detecting the position of the easing roll, determining a correction depending on the deviation from the target position and correcting the control level of the easing roll.

This easing method comprises the following process: an easing roll 6 is controlled so as to rotate by a specified level in either direction of rotation by position control during position control period of time including beating timing or by tension control during tension control period of time including maximum opening timing in one-cycle for the loom by the action of a control unit 17. In the above process, the control unit 17 controls the rotation of a servomotor 15 through, as inputs, signals of correction from a relevant unit 20 as well as signals of rotational angles from an encoder 19 linked to the main shaft 18 of the loom, and detects the position of the easing roll 6 by the aid of a position sensor 21, and based on the comparison between the position detected and the target position, then inputs the resultant deviation as a correction signal into the control unit 17 itself.
