An eating habit management device 100 includes: an eating habit information origination unit 1 having a chopstick detection section for detecting the placement of chopsticks 101 on a chopstick rest 102; an eating habit information origination unit 1a arranged in a mastication frequency measurement instrument 103 and having a mastication information detection section; and an eating habit information processing unit 2 configured to enable information transmission with the eating habit information origination units 1, 1a and having control means to collect eating habit information and process the information. The eating habit information origination unit 1 and the eating habit information processing unit 2 are arranged in the chopstick rest 102 being an eating tool.
