Abstract:
To provide an eddy current brake device included in a railway rolling stock capable of increasing braking force by making the device have an iron core structure including a side iron plate having magnetic flux concentrated on only a surface (teeth surface) opposed to a rail of an annular winding linear induction armature.
In this eddy current brake device 3, the side iron plate 6 is provided in a portion except the surface opposed to the rail 1 of the iron core 5 of an armature 4 of the eddy current brake device 3.
