Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eddy-current type deceleration device where a fixing member for supporting a permanent magnet is fixed with sufficient strength, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: An eddy-current type deceleration device includes a brake drum 10c, a first support 14, multiple permanent magnets 16 fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the first support 14, multiple fixing members 32 placed between the multiple permanent magnets 16, respectively, multiple pole pieces 20 provided between the multiple permanent magnets 16 and the brake drum 10c, and a second support 18 for supporting the multiple pole pieces 20. A nugget 38 is formed at the juncture of a bottom 34 of the fixing member 32 and the first support 14. In the profile including the nugget 38 and orthogonal to the axial direction of the first support 14, the bottom 34 has a compression part 40 formed so that the surface of the bottom 34 opposite to the first support 14 is recessed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
