Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively utilize sludge or slag by simple low-cost treatment by mixing the sludge or slag with water and a cement-based caking agent to form a slurry.
CONSTITUTION: Sludge or slag is mixed with water and a cement-based caking agent to form a slurry. This slurry has flowability and can be utilized in place of sand as an essential material of mortar as it is. The slurry may be filled into cavities formed by land subsidence, etc., or may be back filled into abutments of a bridge. In this case, bubbles are desirably blown into the slurry to reduce the weight or the separation resistance of the slurry in water is desirably increased by adding a thickener.
