To provide an EGR device capable of achieving operation at a high EGR rate without increasing pumping loss or the like while having a simple and inexpensive structure, and thereby capable of efficiently reducing a NOx emission amount while suppressing an increase in emitted black smoke concentration.
An EGR device 100 for returning, as EGR gas, some of exhaust of an internal combustion engine to a combustion chamber is provided with: a plurality of EGR passages 101 into which EGR gas is introduced and which are connected to an intake passage 2, wherein EGR passages 101A, 101B are each configured so that the lengths from an inlet to an open end at an EGR gas flow downstream side are different from each other; and switching valves 130, 140 for switching the EGR passages 101A, 101B through which the EGR gas flows. The EGR passages 101A, 101B through which the EGR gas flows are switched in accordance with an operation condition of the internal combustion engine by the switching valves 130, 140.
