To obtain conjugate nonwoven fabric having more improved mechanical characteristics, flexibility and elasticity than those of conventional elastic nonwoven fabric.
A short fiber unwoven web layer is laminated to at least one side of a filament nonwoven web layer. The filament constituting the filament nonwoven web layer has latent crimping ability, the latent crimping is actualized and the filament is partially bonded under pressure by heating. At least a part of short fibers constituting the short fiber nonwoven web layer has latent crimping ability and the latent crimping is actualized. The short fibers mutually have a three-dimensional interlacement and the short fibers and the filaments have a three-dimensional interlacement each other to form conjugate nonwoven fabric integrated on the whole. The average value of the sum of elongation recovery ratios in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction at 30% elongation of the conjugate nonwoven fabric is ≥80%.
