To control a return speed of a spring return type electric actuator with fewer components.SOLUTION: A power supply circuit 18 supplies a control power supply VC to a control circuit 16 in a power failure state, and the control circuit 16 operates with the control power supply VC in the power failure state to generate braking force by short-circuiting a winding of a motor 11 to reduce a return speed of an output shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
