Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a certain terminal, first as compared with the other terminals, to make contact with a terminal of a mating connector and to be lastly dislocated, with a plurality of terminals of an electrical connector all made to have he identical shape. SOLUTION: An electrical connector 10 is equipped with an insulation housing 12 having a forward projecting connection part 28. A plurality of terminals 32 are juxtaposed, fitted with a housing having contact parts 36, exposed to the forward-projecting connection part, and contactingly engaged with contacts 44, 46 of a suitable mating connector. The forward-projecting connection part 28 is equipped with a thin piece 50 extending rearwards beyond a front end of at least one, but not all of the contact parts 36 of the terminals 32, and at least one of the contact parts can be engaged with each one 44 of the contacts of the connected connector after the other contact parts are engaged with the respective contacts 46.
