Abstract:
To achieve overcurrent protection while miniaturizing a device and improving safety.SOLUTION: An electric lock controller 1 for controlling an electric lock 2 includes a power supply circuit 3, a relay 4, a control unit 5, a switching element 6, and a latch circuit 7. The power supply circuit 3 includes a power supply section 8 that generates a power supply for operation of the electric lock 2, and a voltage lowering section 9 for lowering the output voltage of the power supply section 8 when the output current of the power supply section 8 reaches a threshold current higher than a steady current. The relay 4 has a contact 10 interposed in series in a power supply route from the power supply section 8 to the electric lock 2, and a coil 11 for opening/closing the contact 10 according to an energized state. The switching element 6 is turned on to energize the coil 11 with the usage of the output voltage of the power supply section 8, and its operation is controlled by the control unit 5. The latch circuit 7 detects the voltage applied to the coil 11, and forcibly stops the current application to the switching element 6 regardless of the control by the control unit 5 when the detected voltage becomes less than a lower limit voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
