To provide an electric lock with the illicit unlocking preventive function, easily installable in an existing lock device, regardless of a shape of a thumb-turn, without making a flaw such as an installation hole in a door.
A body case 11 has an interlocking gear 14 for fitting an attachment 16 for fitting the thumb-turn, an interlocking mechanism for electrically driving this interlocking gear 14, a control circuit for electrically controlling an electric motor, and a mode changeover switch 23 for switching this control circuit to one mode of an ordinary mode and a security mode; and is constituted for locking and unlocking by electrically driving the thumb-turn via the attachment 16 by attaching the body case 11 to the lock device by fitting the thumb-turn of the existing lock device to the attachment 16.
