To provide an electric lock having a plurality of lock parts capable of being opened and closed mechanically as well as electrically and improving safety to prevent the occurrence of crime.

This electric lock having at least two lock parts capable of being opened and closed electrically and being also opened and closed mechanically by a key and having a cylinder each is provided with a control means for locking and unlocking each lock part electrically. Each lock part is composed of a dead bolt, the cylinder having a key hole to let the dead bolt come in and out by its rotation, and a driving part for rotating the cylinder electrically. The control means returns the lock part being already unlocked to its locked state if the operation for unlocking the other lock part is not performed within the predetermined period of time after any lock part is unlocked through the key hole.
