When it is determined that the electric power generated from the DC motor 11 is larger than that required to drive a three-phase synchronous motor 22, an electronic control device 70 connects between a plus electrode of the DC motor 11 and a neutral point 201 of a stator coil 200 by relay switches 50, 55. As a result, an inverter circuit 60 outputs a three-phase AC current based on an output voltage of a capacitor 240 and an output voltage of the DC motor 11. Accordingly, without new addition of a step-up circuit or the like, the three-phase synchronous motor 22 is driven by utilizing the electric power generated from the DC motor 11. Due to this, the electric power generated from the DC motor 11 can be regenerated with a simple configuration.
