To provide a rotating electric machine capable of maintaining cooling performance of a coil end portion, even if the rotating electric machine is inclined in a specific direction.
The rotating electric machine includes a rotor freely rotatable around a rotation shaft; a stator having a plurality of slots opposing to the circumferential surface of the rotor; coils wound on each of the plurality of slots; and a coil end portion 1 as a region where the coils protrude from the end position of the axial direction of the stator in the axial direction. Furthermore, the rotating electric machine has a supply path 4 (cooling liquid supply section) for supplying a cooling liquid, and a gutter 3 used as a flow path of the cooling liquid supplied from the supply path 4. The gutter 3 includes at least one partitioning section 12 (partitioning means) which is formed on the midway of the flow path to separate the cooling liquid and blocks the separated cooling liquid, and a discharge port 11, which is provided per partitioned portion 20 partitioned by the partitioning section 12 and discharges the cooling liquid toward the coil end portion 1.
