Abstract:
To increase rigidity of a casing in a drive device of an electric vehicle.SOLUTION: A drive device 10 of an electric vehicle has: an electric motor 11 which generates power of a vehicle 1; a transmission mechanism 12 which changes a speed of power of the electric motor 11; and a differential device 13 which transmits power from the transmission mechanism 12 to driving wheels 15 through an axle 14 connected to the driving wheels 15 of the vehicle. The drive device 10 of the electric vehicle includes: a first housing part 22 which houses the transmission mechanism 12; a second housing part 24 which is connected offset in a vehicle with direction at a rear part 22B of the first housing part 22 and has a cylindrical shape part 28 for housing the differential device 13; and an arc rib 30 which is formed protruding in an arc shape at a peripheral edge part below the cylindrical shape part 28 in the second housing part 24 and which is connected to the rear part 22B of the first housing part 22 at a front end part 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
