Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle capable of collecting power from an overhead wire and stepping down the voltage without limiting the arrangement of equipment mounted on the vehicle.SOLUTION: The electric vehicle includes: a vehicle body 4 on which a pantograph 3 collecting a current from an overhead wire 1 is mounted on an outer side of a ceiling part; and a roof 11 installed at the outer side of the ceiling part of the vehicle body 4 and including slopes 11a, 11b. Cable heads 5a, 5b installed on the slopes 11a, 11b are disposed in the vicinity of equipment 15, 16 inside the vehicle body 4. Special high cables 6a, 6b connected to the cable heads 5a, 5b are provided, for transmitting the power collected from the overhead wire 1 via the pantograph 3 to the equipment 15, 16.
