Abstract:

To provide an EL display device with high operation performance and reliability.

A third passivation film 45 is arranged below an EL element 203 formed of a pixel electrode (anode) 46, an EL layer 47 and an anode 48. An alkali metal in the EL element 203 formed by an ink jet system is prevented from being diffused to a TFT-side. The third passivation film 45 prevents invasion of moisture and oxygen from the TFT-side, disperses heat generated in the EL element 203 and suppresses deterioration of the EL element 203.
