PURPOSE: To prevent an electromagnetic pump from generating thermal stress to its duct wall, by providing an electrode fitting nozzle integrally machined to the duct at the spot where the electrode of the electromagnetic pump duct is jointed, and by jointing the electrode to the tip of the nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: An electrode fitting nozzle 5 is cut out to a duct 1 by machining in integral structure with stainless steel material, to the tip of the nozzle of which an electrode 2 is welded. Usually, the thickness of the duct 1 is about several mm, so that the length of the nozzle 5 will do in twice or three times as thick as its thickness. The thermal stress caused by the welding of the electrode is thereby generated between the electrode and the electrode fitting nozzle 5 and no influence is effected directly to the duct wall.
