Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make a VVVF (variable voltage and variable frequency power supply device) multiplex or polyphase for application to an electromagnetic pump of large capacity and the reduction of the effect of a high-frequency component on a power supply, without changing the capacity of an electric power conversion element, and provide an electromagnetic pump of large capacity suitable for the VVVF.
CONSTITUTION: A coolant pump device for transferring liquid metal is formed out of an electromagnetic pump 21 having two three-phase windings 21a and 21b, a VVVF 20 consisting of two VVVFs 20a and 20b connected so as to correspond to each of the windings 21a and 21b of the pump 21, and a control device 22 for outputting the same control signal for the cooperative operation of the two VVVFs at the same phase.
