Title:
ELECTROMAGNETIC SOUND CONVERTER WHICH IS SHIELDED MAGNETICALLY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03184500
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To more effectively suppress an external electromagnetic field by forming a magnetic shield by two halves of cup-like casing adjacent to the symmetrical face of the shield, connected as one unit along a connection face parallel with the symmetrical face and having high magnetic permissibility. CONSTITUTION: An external shield 23 for a device 20 has two halves of cup-like casing 23A, 23B connected as one unit on a seam coincident with a plane P. However it is unnecessary to allow the connection part, i.e., the seam, between the halves 23A, 23B to accurately coincide with the plane P. In the structure that the connection part, i.e., the seam, between the high permeability shielding halves 23A, 23B coincide with the magnetically symmetrical plane P as a whole, the seam does not interrupt a magnetic flux path passing a magnetic circuit of a converter motor 22. consequently a shielding effect is determined only by the magnetic characteristics of the casing 23.
