In this electron-beam melting furnace comprising a raw material supply feeder for supplying a raw material, a hearth retaining the raw material as molten bath, a casting mold disposed at a downstream side of the hearth, and an electron gun disposed on a ceiling wall of the melting furnace body and melting the raw material in the casting mold, the electron gun is disposed on an area excluding a hearth area, a casting mold area and a raw material supply feeder area in plane configuration. In this electron-beam melting method for metal, the raw material metal is melted and ingots are manufactured by using the electron-beam melting furnace.
