Abstract:

To stabilize electric characteristics and image characteristic and to enhance durability even in repeated uses by forming a main photosensitive layer containing a carrier generating material and a carrier transfer material and an outermost photosensitive layer containing the carrier transfer material and a specified polymer composition.

The electrophotographic photoreceptor is provided on the conductive substrate with the main photosensitive layer containing the carrier generating material and the carrier transfer material and the outermost photosensitive layer containing the carrier transfer material and the polymerizable composition represented by formula I in which R1 is a group represented by formula II; R2 is an H atom or a 1-6C alkyl group or a group represented by formula II; X is a group represented by formula III or the like; (m) is an integer of 2-50; in formula II, R3 is a 1-9C alkyl; and in formula III, Y is a 1-9C alkylene group, thus permitting the obtained photoreceptor not to change in electric characteristics, such as potential acceptance and sensitivity, and image characteristics, such as resistance to thickening of lines and image blurring.
