PURPOSE: To provide high heat resistance and excellent low-temp. fixability and offset resistance and to improve electrostatic charge stability by respectively specifying the mol.wt. distribution range of a styrene/acryl copolymer and the range of the acid value of a resin and incorporating a metal-contg. dye of a charge control agent at a specific ratio into the toner.
CONSTITUTION: This toner has the max. value respectively in a ≥1×103 and <1×105mol.wt. range and ≥1×105 and ≤3×105mol.wt. range in the mol.wt. distribution of a gel permeation chromatogram. The toner contains the styrene/ acryl copolymer having the ratio of the styrene occupying the entire part of the resin within a 40 to 80wt.% range and the acid value within 20 to 50mg/g range as the resin for fixing. Further, the toner contains the metal-contg. dye as a charge control agent at 0.5 to 3wt.% ratio.
