PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus having a head movable in the direction of X-axis nearly perpendicular to the extension direction of warp and performing the embroidering work with a colored weft by storing a number of colored wefts in the head, selecting a necessary colored weft from the stored wefts, supplying to a necessary part, cutting to a necessary length and beating the weft.

CONSTITUTION: This colored weft embroidering apparatus 1 of a hand-loom is provided with a feeding head 40 and a colored weft delivery mechanism 6. The feeding head 40 is placed at a side of a weft row in a state movable in the direction of X-axis nearly perpendicular to the extension direction of the warp and contains a number of bobbins wound with different kinds of colored wefts and a cutter to cut the colored weft unwound from the bobbin and supplies the tip end of the selected colored weft to the feeding port. The colored weft delivery mechanism 6 is provided with a mobile member positioned at the other side of the warp row opposite to the feeding head 40 and movable in the direction of the X-axis and a chuck attached to the tip end of the mobile member, holding the delivered end of the colored weft supplied to the feeding port of the feeding head 40 and pulling out the colored weft.
