Title:
EMERGENT BODY-HEATING STRUCTURE FOR PREVENTING FREEZING DEATH IN WINTER SEASON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003147679
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a survival equipment for absorbing water and moisture to effectively prevent the cooling of the body caused by the dew condensation in clothes, sleeping bag, or the like, such as life-saving clothes, climbing equipment and camping equipment liable to occur in a cold season, further exhibiting a warming effect by the heat generated by water and moisture absorption and portable to allow the free movement in ordinary state other than emergency.

This emergent body-heating structure for preventing the cold death in winter season is a structure containing highly hygroscopic particles attached thereto and has a maximum temperature rise of ≥3°C in moisture and/or water absorption. Preferably, the heat-generation of the body-heating structure continues for ≥30 min in moisture absorption and/or for ≥1 min in water-absorption.
