Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a belt excellent in durability, easy to produce and low in production cost and taking the place of a rotary drum by superposing one end part of a resin film having patterns on its surface and formed into a strip shape on the other end part thereof and bonding the superposed part by ultrasonic welding. SOLUTION: Patterns are printed on a printable polyethylene terephthalate film to form a strip like printed polyethylene terephthalate film 11 and one end part 1 of this film 11 is superposed on the other end part 2 thereof so as to provide an overlap width to provide a superposed part 3. This superposed part 3 is placed on a receiving stand 4 to be pressed from above by a horn 6 having a large number of chevron-shaped grooves 5 formed on the surface thereof and pressure is applied to the superposed part 3 while the horn 6 is ultrasonically vibrated. The mechanical vibration applied to a vibrator from an oscillator is converted to electric vibration by the vibrator to be applied to the horn 6 and mechanical vibration is transmitted to the superposed part 3 to ultrasonically weld the superposed part 3 by the internal generation of heat to form an annular polyethylene terephthalate film belt 21.
