Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent power loss by pressing a cam chain under specified pressure during low and high temperature of an engine. CONSTITUTION:An intake air camshaft 6 and an exhaust air camshaft 7 are actuated by a sprocket wheel 2 installed in a crank axle 1 of an engine E and by a cam chain 3 engaged to sprocket wheels 4 and 5. The back of a cam chain guide 8 is provided with a leaf spring 9 having a space C. The cam chain guide 8 is brought into pressure contact with the leaf spring 9 by a tensioner rod having a rubber 13 and coil spring 14. Being pressed under specified pressure, the cam chain 3 reduces power loss at low and high temperature of the engine.
