This engine control device 5A, 5B, or 5C for the vehicle receives first information to indicate when the accelerator opening Sa is contracted to be smaller than a prescribed small opening So, and second information when the forward/rearward changing signal F or R is sent to the torque transmitting part 2, and outputs a signal to make the engine 1 supply fuel of larger quantity than fuel of quantity based on the accelerator opening Sa when the first information and the second information are simultaneously received.
