To provide exhaust emission control device capable of detecting breakage of a particulate filter.
An exhaust emission control device 15 in an embodiment comprises: a particulate filter 42 provided on an exhaust system 13 of an engine 10; an EGR flow passage 61 provided between an exhaust passage 43 and a suction passage 32 on a downstream side of the particulate filter 42; an EGR cooler 63 arranged in the EGR flow passage 61; a first temperature sensor 71 for detecting temperature of an inlet of the EGR cooler 63; a second temperature sensor 72 for detecting temperature of an outlet of the EGR cooler 63; and a third temperature sensor 73 for detecting temperature of cooling liquid of the EGR cooler 63. Cooling efficiency of the EGR cooler 63 is calculated according to the inlet temperature, the outlet temperature and the cooling liquid temperature. A control unit 16 determines that the particulate filter 42 is broken and actuates a display part 80, when a difference between the cooling efficiency of the EGR cooler 63 before regenerating the particulate filter 42 and the cooling efficiency after regeneration exceeds a predetermined value.
