Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine with a supercharger that can obtain the temperature of exhaust required for activation of a catalyst used in an exhaust purification device, without performing specification change of the engine with a supercharger.SOLUTION: An engine 6 with a supercharger includes: an exhaust purification device 50 that reduces a nitrogen oxide in exhaust with a catalyst by adding reductant to exhaust of an engine body 40; an air supply release valve 70 that can discharge part of air supplied to the engine body 40 from a supercharger 20 through an air supply pipe 28, to the outside of the air supply pipe 28; and a control device 80 that controls the temperature of exhaust by operating the air supply release valve 70 and adjusting an air supply amount supplied from the supercharger 20 to the engine body 40.
